our story

Picture
Catamaran "First Wave" was our first cruising home.  Thus the name of our charter business.

In January 2020 we were fortunate to purchase the beautiful "Day Dreamer".

Scott is a US Coastguard 50 Ton Master Captain. He has sailed much of his adult life. After moving to Miami after graduation from Georgia Tech in 1982 he spent as much time as possible on the water. He has very fond memories of heading to the ocean after work and flying hulls on a Hobie Cat.  Since then, he has spent years dreaming of owning a sailboat.  He is the first to say that his reality has exceeded his dreams!

Captain Scott Delivering Guests!
Karen has a different story.  She moved from St. Louis to San Miguel de Allende, Gto. Mexico with her parents when she was 11 years old.  San Miguel is a historic town over 6000 feet in the mountains of central Mexico. The family has gone back a number of times so Karen could share the love of her hometown.
Scott and Karen met in 1999 and married soon after.  As both a couple and as a blended family of 6, they have traveled extensively.  They have a special affection for the mountains, the sea, and the outdoors. They plan to continue their journey of adventures indefinitely.  Together, Captain Scott and First Mate Karen are excited to share their home and lifestyle with charter guests.

They look forward to hosting you aboard their beloved catamaran Day Dreamer, and treating you to the pleasures of sailing!

Until then, "Fair Winds and Following Seas"
